Claroscuro. 2022
Artist book
Lugones (2008) tells us that during the Colony, black and Indigenous people were not deemed men or
women but animals in the deep sense of being “genderless” beings. As a resistance, through this work,
I reclaim my animality.
I expose human animality with honesty, exploring my perverse and fragile side simultaneously.
This work is inspired by Blanca Varela’s poem Claroscuro.
